There are many blood and urine tests available to help us determine the cause of a variety of illnesses. We may test to either "rule in" or "rule out" particular condition. The more common tests can be performed in the hospital, with results available immediately. Other, more complex tests, are sent to a local certified laboratory. These results are usually available within 1-2 days. Biopsy or cytology results take 3-5 days.
