Airline travel with your pet requires a certain degree of preparedness. Your pet will probably need a Health Cerificate before they travel, both domestically and abroad. We are pleased to help you complete the necessary documents for your trip but would like to ask that you bring some important information and background research to your upcoming appointment.
If you haven’t already, please research the exact documents and requirements that you will need for travel to your particular destination. Consulate websites can be helpful in this regard as well as the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) website. (See http://www.healthypet.com Relocation and Travel.) Please bring the documents (with owner information completed) and all supporting materials to your appointment. The most commonly requested information includes Rabies vaccine, microchip, flea prevention, and parasite control.
The Los Gatos Dog and Cat Hospital will work diligently to assure that the proper documents are completed but cannot be held accountable for missing or incorrect information that results in failure to travel. Please assure that you bring the appropriate documents and that they are filled out correctly in the necessary timeframe. Should you need assistance, there are companies that can prepare these documents for you. Many clients have been happy with the services provided by Pet Express.
